Diego Forlan signed for Manchester United on the 22nd January 2002 from Argentine side Independiente.
At the start of his playing days at Old Trafford their where a lot of people myself included what thought Diego was a good player but his bottle seemed to go when he had a goal scoring opportunity and for any forward missing chance after chance it would certainly affect the confidence of the player.
This is the prime rule for any Forward and to all the younger players which visit the site take note:

When you strike a football in a goal scoring opportunity always think to yourself that it is going to break the net in half always be confident that you will score.

This is what happened to Diego Forlan he lost his confidence until the day we came across our arch rivals Liverpool at Anfield where he scored twice. A legend overnight he backed this up with a late strike against Chelsea in the Worthington Cup and from then on his confidence was back and so are the goals.
I would like to see more of Diego Forlan in the 2004/05 season lets see what happens.
